All the 6th-grade math classes are filled with adventure and lively discussion. Classes are designed to meet students' needs at their readiness level, meaning each class should be perfectly suited to the students in that class. They are all meant to be challenging courses that help students think deeply and critically about the mathematical concepts being studied regardless of level.
Whole-class, small-group, and individual activities will be used throughout the year to provide students with all the best possible opportunities to truly understand math in multiple ways. Check out the links below to take you to important information! |

Math CrusadeThe math class is designed like a video game with students taking on the role of a "Math Mage" (basically a mathemagician!). You can find out more information about what students do in class using this link to the instruction manual for Math Crusade.

IXLStudents battle Goblin Princes by completing assigned IXL topics. Students are also free to work on any topics they want just to boost your math knowledge, but only assigned topics will count for XP. Parents can have their students try out the Diagnostic Arena for more personalized topic work!

Prodigy*Students can adventure as a math mage in the game of Prodigy. Each student should have an account or will be shown how to create an account.

Legends of Learning*Students can fight enemies, collect power cards, and complete mini-games in Legends of Learning. Each student is free to explore "The Awakening" or play teacher-selected math games.

XP InformationThis document shows how XP is translated into a percentage grade. You can see what XP is needed for students to reach the next rank/title in their math mage training. Because unforeseen events can happen, these values are subject to change, so check back for any updates to XP and percentage equivalents.
